Fearlessly Feral

What is Fearlessly Feral living? Well, it is a lifestyle for sure. One that is talked about in my podcast, called, go figure: Fearlessly Feral Living.

What’s it about? Well, I guess the best way to explain that is to explain how I went about creating the title. Originally I wanted to call it Live Wild and Free. Turns out the phrase is already being used. Podcasting tip: if you are contemplating doing a podcast, research your possible names to make sure no one else is using them. Anyway, after I discovered Live Wild and Free was being used, I did some research to find some other terms.

Turns out wild means “uncontrolled by humans.” I love that definition, and one of the definitions of wild is feral. Now, the foundation upon which my podcast is built is based in the idea that we can live happily in this world, no matter what, if our lives are controlled by our connection with a living breathing moving Spirit that lives and moves and has Its being in and through us. In other words, we aren’t controlled by humans, we are controlled by our connection with God. So I had a word to use in my title: feral.

Fearlessly. What to say about fear? I will begin with one of my favorite quotes about fear:

“Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger; anger leads to hate; hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you.” — Master Yoda

I am here to tell you that there are only two basic emotions: fear or love. And the two cannot co-exist together in the same entity. And no, I am not speaking here of the type of fear that keeps us from putting our hand on a hot stove, or causes us avoid rattlesnakes or spiders. I’m talking about a way of being, a lifestyle. And in order to live wild and free, we must be free from fear. And in order to be free from fear, we must instead live a life based in a consciousness of love. And in order to do that, we must, based on our connection with that Spirit thing, embody the main quality of Spirit: love.

That’s the short version. The long version can be found in episodes of the podcast.
